One of my favorite happy hours is at Blue Martini. It goes from 4-8pm and has half off drinks and a well discounted food menu. My go to dishes were the BBQ Chicken Flatbread and the Thai Chicken Skewers. My fave waitress informed me that there were some new additions to the food menu and I was excited to see what other options I might have. The new Beef Tenderloin Sliders sounded tasty (usually an $18 dish but discounted to $13 for happy hour). As I scanned the menu I eventually noticed that both my fave dishes were no longer on it which really sucks because I was craving that bloody BBQ Chicken Flatbread. Since my Thai Skewers were no longer on the menu I resorted to ordering the Lemon Pepper Chicken skewers. 🙁 They changed that dish as well and it no longer has the nice rice they used to serve it up with. It’s just 4 pieces of chicken and a bunch of greenery that is inedible. 🙁 🙁
So yeah, the lemon pepper chicken was alright, topped with some pesto or some shid. It’s nothing to write home about really. I enjoyed the Thai ones much better. Both were $8.
I really enjoyed the tenderloin sliders, they were tasty af but who likes paying $13 for a happy hour item? At least there were 3. The brioche buns were perfect. I would suggest trying these bad boys out when you have a chance.
It sucks when you get used to something and it’s taken away. I won’t be coming back to Blue Martini as much because of this. I will have to find another happy hour spot that doesn’t break the bank and has a good menu.
P.S. Why do they always put flowers and greed shid on the dishes? I have a ton of flickin’ to do before I can actually ram something in my mouth.
