I wrote the White Chocolate Grill off a few years ago due to bad management, increased prices and dishonest portions but I gave them another try because I remember how much I enjoyed the bbq baby back ribs and fries. Last time they gave me 3 ribs and called it a “half” rack. I argued with management that it wasn’t a true half rack and said I would never return.
A full rack of baby back ribs consists of a minimum of 8 ribs and no more than 13. There was 5 amazingly tasty ribs on the plate and it was $8.99 with fries so I reckon it’s a pretty fair deal considering the full rack on the regular menu is $24. Not to mention they have $6 martinis and they know how to make a good cocktail. Really enjoyed my Manhattan and the woman liked her fruity whatever the f it was. Pomegranate Martini I think? One of our bartenders was a bit clueless but the dude that took over was sensational, forget his name tho.
I like the inside of the place even though the exterior is painted in a strange salmony color which doesn’t really represent the upscale, classy restaurant that it is. I never cared for their logo really, it’s a shiddy font and weird spacing.. and for that matter, the name is odd isn’t it? White Chocolate Grill? I picture a place that serves up desserts not a place that has amazing ribs and steaks and such. No?
Hella marble and clean shiny reflective surfaces with a nice dark woodgrain gets a thumbs up along with the 4 tv’s and a wall of alcohol that can put one into a trance. I dig the whole open kitchen scene as well.
I just saw that TGIFriday’s has a $10 full rack going on special. Seems like a good deal if it’s a true 13 ribber!
Of course, the little lady had to have a cheesecake dessert while I had a 2nd plate of the good shid. That was the deal we made and it worked out perfectly. The cake was huge and fed us for many days to come. I am not a cheese cake expert but I thought it tasted pretty damn good. She, being the cake expert, gave it a 7.5 oot of 10 so I guess it wasn’t quite up to par? Chicks maaaannnnnn.
I give the White Chocolate Grill happy hour 3.5 stars out of 5.. super tasty but the service and portions can be a bit Darrison.
