Who wouldn’t though? As you know, I have been upset with my golf game as of lately but still miss getting out there on the links and competing. Thankfully I can enjoy playing Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Golf almost as much as being out there on the course and it doesn’t result in smashing clubs into the ground and beating myself up. Also, no threat of breaking another ankle which is nice. I thought all of the Tiger Woods Xbox games were poorly done and the game play, especially putting, was terrible. I always compare golf games to the old Links 2004 game. It was incredible and felt like a true golf simulator. It’s ashame the Links franchise didn’t continue and Tiger Woods garbage game took over and stunk up the whole console golf scene.
I was expecting Rory to be just another turd in the Tiger series but I see there are many improvements. I am having fun with the career mode although I think I would prefer to play the full 18 holes of each tournament and not just random 5 or 6 holes per day. I enjoy the shot shaping features and found the chipping and putting to be quite accurate.
When I used to play in real life on the Golf Channel Amateur Tour I would go under the name Michael Violence (prononced veee-oh-lance) but I was not French, just a bit retarded. So, it’s only natural that I would compete online as Michael Violence no? I am excited for when the Waste Management Phoenix Open comes to town. 99.420% sure I will be in a sky loft overlooking the green and pounding down libations. If not in a box I will be on the Greenskeeper beach by 17 and 18 pounding down foods and lounging in the sand.
Last night I won the Open Championship by 13 strokes so I think now is the time to increase the difficulty level on this mutha. I am clearly gifted and have laser like focus. I felt bad for beating Jordan Spieth by 16 strokes.. he might want to rethink his career yo. If you play online hit me up some time for a round, search for Michael Violence on XBox Live. -hWild
