Cruising through Rodeo drive looking at all the shops and dinguses I got the idea to bounce over a few streets to Brentwood and check out the notorious crime scene where OJ Simpson hacked apart Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. The condo was sold a while ago and they totally redid the area where they were murdered. Instead of a gate and steps up to the condo they have hid it behind foliage, changed the address from 875 to 879 South Bundy Drive and put in a wooden door. Sneaky mfers.
After much comparison of the area with old pictures from the scene I was sure this was the spot. You can see the palm tree for reference of where the murders were, there is a wall up now covered with trees. Be careful of the speeding traffic on Bundy Drive if you are going to check this spot out.
I got to sit in on the OJ Simpson trial for the robbery and theft case he had and I can honestly say I have never seen a larger headal region on someone in my life. He was very jovial and always friendly, there’s no way he could have possibly killed two people. ::cough::
Since I was in the area I figured why not shoot over to where Marilyn Monroe overdosed, 5th Helena Drive. Not much to see other than a gate. Had to back the creeper out of a long allie way and try not to act like a stupid tourist who is infatuated with crime scenes. Awwwwwkkkieeesss.
Tried to check out the house where Sharon Tate was murdered but it was torn down and new house has been put in soooooo… quuiitteee aaaa wwasssteeee offfff ttiimmmeeee.
Drove by Michael Jackson’s death house too at 100 N. Carolwood Dr, nothing but a gate and some crazy lady selling Star Maps sitting out front. I think it’s a stop on most Hollywood Tour Buses these days. Meh. Be careful, traffic on Sunset Blvd is insane and it’s not an easy area to get in and oot of.
I have some more death scenes to visit next time I am in the Los Angeles area cuz what else is there to do in that dump of a city?
