When it comes to gorge settings it doesn’t get any better than the balcony at Constantino’s nestled behind the 18th hole of the Chiricahua golf course in Desert Mountain. One of my favorite golf courses and views for sure. Desert Mountain is a private golf community so unless you know somebody you might have some trouble getting in. Holllerrr.
I have been to this restaurant many times and each time I have left wishing the food was as spectacular as the view. The menu is somewhat limited and lacks favorites of mine like Chicken Parmigiana (my all time fave is Chicken Parm with red sauce and Fettuccine Alfredo together) or them sweet ass bread sticks from Olive Garden. Sooo after much menu scanning I settled on the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken dish.
Just like the view, the dish looked gorge but I felt that it lacked flavor although I did manage to destroy the whole thing including bread with balsamic vinegar and oil(which I had to ask for, who has to ask for balsamic vinegar to accompany the oil and bread?).. Sup with that? Oh yeah the waiter was heller creepy and just kinda hovered around our table eavesdropping in on convos.
The martini pour was pretty proper and hit the spot, all of the restaurants at Desert Mountain do a good job with the drinks for the most part.
The Margherita pizza was pretty bomb and had some serious flavor with a nice crunch on the crust. I am not a huge fan of tree leaves on my pizza tho and they just get my fingers messy when I have to flick them off the plate soooo we coulldd probbabbllyy jussst leeavvee thhaaattt offffffff nnneeexxtttt ttiimmmeee.
So if you like amazing views and average Italian fare with a limited menu, Constantino’s is your place. And that’s if you are a member or know a member. Oh and have money to burn. Ciao
I give Constantino’s a 3 out of 5. The location helps out the score. -hWild
UPDATE 1/25/16: I had a steak here and it was wonderful. I up my rating to 3 1/2 burgers out of 5.
