On the way north from Phoenix to Flagstaff you can stop and get a glimpse of what it was like to live in a cliff dwelling thousands of years ago by pulling off and visiting the Montezuma Castle National Monument. For just a $10 donation you can walk around in the 110 degree heat with a bunch of other tourists and admire an abandoned “castle” that indigenouses resided in.
Luckily the Cliff Castle Casino is 2 minutes away as is a Sonic because other than this photo I took there isn’t much else to see. I gtfo’d after about 4 mins and 20 seconds.
