After dumping my Note 3 in the coconut curry soup, which lead to it losing sound and charging abilities, I decided to not only get a new phone but also switch from Verizon to T-Mobile because I hate being tied into a contract with lying mfers and not having unlimited data. I went with the unlimited everything plan which is $80/mo and they claim gives me unlimited 4g speeds, at least that’s what Shaham from the T-Mobile sales chat assured me of.
Although it’s a gorge looking device with the rounded edges I find they only get in the way of the user experience when typing or swyping. I was extremely disappointed at it’s horrible battery life, I could watch the little icon drain down as I held it. You can’t remove the battery either so you are stuck with it as it is just like a crApple iPhoney. Samsung also got rid of the SD card and storage is either 32gb, 64gb or 128gb like the one I had.
Even though the T-Mobile site shows there is service where the justice center is I was lucky to get a bar of anything, let alone 4G. I spent 4 days jerking around with them to figure out what the problem was. Apparently my house is right in between two cell towers and right on the edge of each. They even sent me a 4g signal booster which did nothing. Kinnddaa neeeeedd baaarrrrsss tooo boooossssttt baarrrrsssss.
Long story short. I am done with Samsung based on the new changes in their phones and t-mobile service sucks compared to Verizon. I think I will try the LG 4G next. FML.
